The BIOS tool reads the available firmware parameters, shows them in an editor and applies compatible changes. The set of features depends on the motherboard, the BIOS version and the available hardware layout: if the firmware is not supported, the tool reports this and does not change any settings.

Operating modes

  • “Current PC” — detects the available parameters on this system. The “Detect” button starts the BIOS support check.
  • “Editor mode” — viewing and preparing a profile without applying it to the computer. The profile can be exported with the “Export” button and handed over to a specialist.
  • Display: “Basic settings” or “All settings”. The amount of information shown changes, but the safety of the selected values does not depend on the mode.

The “Import BIOS” item restores the menu and the setting dependencies from the firmware file of your specific motherboard. The firmware file is analyzed locally and is not applied to the computer: the import only gives the editor an exact list of the settings of your BIOS version. Settings for which no reliable match is found are shown, but changing them is blocked.

Before applying

  1. Open Tools → BIOS and run detection.
  2. Export the current profile with the “Export” button.
  3. Save a photo or a copy of the critical boot, drive and memory parameters.
  4. Check the compatibility of each change with the manual for your specific motherboard.
  5. Apply a small group of parameters with the “Apply” button and reboot after it — the tool explicitly reports “Reboot required”.

Do not apply a profile from another motherboard model, another BIOS version or another computer. Even identically named parameters may have different valid values.

How to undo

Each time changes are applied, the tool creates a backup and reports: “BIOS settings applied. Backup created”. To revert:

  1. Open the “BIOS backups” section.
  2. Select the backup created before the change.
  3. Click “Restore” and wait for the message “BIOS backup restored”.
  4. Reboot the computer.

Do not interrupt applying or restoring, and do not change parameters when the power supply is unstable. Find out in advance how to perform a Clear CMOS: even with automatic validation, an unsupported value may prevent the system from booting.
