What changes
Section titled “What changes”The “Inking & typing personalization” feature collects data about how you type and sends it to Microsoft to improve language recognition accuracy and predictive text. According to the BoosterX description, this data includes keystrokes, autocorrections, suggested text and other input-related information.
The setting stops this sending. Normal input continues to work in full: the keyboard, autocorrection and word suggestions are not disabled. What changes is something else — predictive suggestions are no longer trained on your vocabulary and over time stop becoming more accurate to your style.
Exceptions and differences
Section titled “Exceptions and differences”The setting is not hidden in either Windows 10 or Windows 11. The standard toggle is located in the privacy section of “Settings”, on the typing personalization page. Keyboard latency does not change: this is not an input optimization. A related setting is “Send Microsoft info about how I write”.
How to verify the result
Section titled “How to verify the result”Open the typing personalization page in the privacy section of “Settings”: the system toggle for sending data is also off, and input and suggestions work.
How to change and revert
Section titled “How to change and revert”Open Optimization → Customization → Input and keyboard → Inking & typing personalization and set the toggle to “On”: BoosterX will apply the disabling of inking and typing personalization. Click “Apply” at the bottom of the page; if “Instant apply” is enabled, a separate button is not required. To revert, set the toggle to “Off”: BoosterX will return Windows to its standard state — sending typing data resumes.
