Based on the result on SSDOn a gaming PC with an SSD, disabling removes SysMain’s background work, but the benefit should be verified against your system’s stability.
On an HDD, do not disable it: prefetching can noticeably help Windows and application startup.

What changes
Section titled “What changes”After a reboot, SysMain does not start and stops preparing data in the background to speed up subsequent launches. The disabling is confirmed. How many resources it saves and how it affects application startup on a physical PC has not been measured.
How to verify
Section titled “How to verify”Compare the cold start time of frequently used applications and the game’s frame time before and after the change. If longer starts or stutters appear during the first data load, revert the setting.
How to change and revert
Section titled “How to change and revert”Open “Optimization” → “Basic” → “Services and background processes” → “SysMain (Prefetch, Superfetch…)” and set the toggle to “On”: BoosterX will disable the SysMain service. Apply the change and reboot the PC. To revert, set the toggle to “Off”: BoosterX will restore SysMain’s default operation, apply and reboot again.
