Uninstalling BoosterX

The main thing to know before uninstalling: the changes applied by BoosterX belong to Windows, not to the program. Uninstalling BoosterX does not roll them back — the system will remain in the state you configured. This applies to settings, disabled services, and BIOS changes alike.

How to uninstall

BoosterX can be uninstalled in two ways:

• Uninstall only the program: close BoosterX and delete its .exe file. The program is portable, so this is enough to stop it from launching again. Local data and the startup items created by the program may remain.
• Uninstall the program together with its data: in BoosterX, open Settings → BoosterX → Uninstall BoosterX → Start uninstall and confirm the action. The program will close and start removing its .exe file, local data and startup items. Along with the local data, backup snapshots, TweaX history, “My tweaks” and other files saved in the program will disappear.

How to revert settings without BoosterX

• A Windows restore point created before the changes.
• Knowledge base articles: for free settings they list the exact registry values, so a manual rollback is possible.
• A cloud snapshot can be applied after reinstalling BoosterX. A local snapshot is available only if you saved it separately or deleted one .exe file while keeping the program’s data.
