What is BoosterX

BoosterX helps you configure Windows 10 and Windows 11: it analyzes your computer’s configuration and helps you choose suitable settings. In the program you can check settings, apply them and restore the previous state.

You can use the program’s hints or choose settings manually if you want to understand each parameter yourself.

What BoosterX is for

Windows settings are scattered across various system windows and utilities, and explanations require consulting instructions. Even with instructions, it can be difficult to understand whether a recommendation suits your computer, what has already been configured and how to revert everything back.

In BoosterX, supported settings are gathered in a single interface. Here you can:

  • see their current state;
  • choose changes using a questionnaire or the expert menu;
  • check possible consequences before applying;
  • apply the selected set;
  • restore most supported changes from a backup (for what exactly is not restored, see «Restore boundaries»).

How configuration works

Usually configuration works like this:

  1. BoosterX analyzes the computer’s configuration.
  2. You choose the questionnaire or manual configuration.
  3. The program shows the selected changes and warnings.
  4. You confirm the application, check the result and, if necessary, cancel the changes.

Free version and PRO

The free version offers basic system settings, local backups and some tools. PRO has more settings and capabilities, including cloud backups. You can compare the versions on the official PRO page.

What result to expect

With BoosterX you can reduce background activity you don’t need and configure Windows for your tasks. The result depends on the hardware, Windows version, drivers, installed programs and selected parameters.

It is impossible to promise in advance a specific FPS gain, latency reduction or amount of freed memory. The estimates inside BoosterX help you get your bearings. To find out what changed on your computer, compare measurements before and after configuration under identical conditions.

Before use, check Windows compatibility. Leave the features you use enabled.
