Local backup snapshots

A local snapshot saves supported BoosterX settings on the current computer so they can be restored. It does not create a disk image or a copy of your files.
Creation
Section titled “Creation”- Open “Recovery” → BoosterX tab and click “Make snapshot”.
- Select the categories to save: Windows, Windows updates, hardware, drivers, devices, monitors, programs, processes, services, memory and page file, games, Startup apps, Background activity, my tweaks and BIOS settings.
- Read the warnings, especially for BIOS: on some computers, reading BIOS settings when creating a snapshot may cause the system to freeze.
- Wait for the creation status and make sure the snapshot card has opened.
The set of categories changes in the history collection settings; a snapshot stores only what was enabled at the time it was created.
Applying
Section titled “Applying”- In the “Local” section, click “Open” on the snapshot card.
- Read the preview: for each Setting, the “Now” value and the target value from the snapshot are shown.
- Evaluate the warnings: “Some settings are unavailable on this device and will not be applied” and “Current settings already match this backup”.
- Click “Apply now” and wait for completion.
- Verify the result manually, especially on another PC or after a major Windows update.
Unavailable settings are skipped. Restoring drivers and managed system components may require a separate action: BoosterX tells you which Setting to re-enable on which page.
