What changes
Section titled “What changes”The tasks support the background work of Microsoft Store. According to the visible description in BoosterX, these are “Tasks related to the Store”, and they can be disabled “even if you use the Store constantly”. According to the BoosterX catalog, the group contains tasks for verifying app licenses, updating the list of prohibited apps and push-installing apps from another device; the group does not perform background checking of app updates. After disabling, the store and apps continue to work.
Exceptions and differences
Section titled “Exceptions and differences”- Automatic downloading of app updates is a separate toggle: “Auto-update of store apps”.
- Launching the Store, browsing the catalog and manually installing apps are not blocked.
- Installing apps from another device via the web version of the Store may stop working without the background tasks — keep this in mind if you use this method.
- The setting is available in both Windows 10 and Windows 11 — there are no version restrictions in BoosterX.
How to verify the result
Section titled “How to verify the result”Open Microsoft Store and go to the “Library” tab: the store opens, the list of installed apps and available updates are shown as usual.
How to change and revert
Section titled “How to change and revert”Open “Optimization” → “Tasks” → “Microsoft ecosystem” → “Microsoft Store” and switch the toggle to “Off”: BoosterX will apply the default Windows state with the Store background tasks. Click “Apply” at the bottom of the page; if “Instant apply” is enabled, a separate button is not required. To disable the tasks, the “On” position is used: BoosterX will stop the Store background tasks — license verification, updating the list of prohibited apps and push installation; to revert, switch back to “Off”.
