On a PC without phone integration, you can block it: the visible consumer of the permission is the call history in Phone Link.

If you view call history or make calls from your PC, leave the permission enabled.

What changes

BoosterX applies a general block for Store/UWP apps — the same global toggle as on the Windows page “Settings” → “Privacy” → “App permissions” → “Call history”. The permission is needed not by Windows itself, but by consumer apps: for example, Phone Link shows the call log and history from a connected phone on the PC. After the block, the app does not receive the list of calls, and the calls tab becomes empty.

Classic Win32 programs and browsers are not subject to this block. A targeted block for a single app remains on the same system page. BoosterX supports the setting in Windows 10 and Windows 11; the name of the “Settings” section and the set of permission pages depend on the version — check them on your system.

How to verify the result

Connect your phone in Phone Link and open the calls tab: the log should be visible. Apply the block, restart the app and refresh the tab — the list of calls should not load.

How to change and revert

Open “Optimization” → “Privacy” → “App permissions” → “App access to call history”, set the toggle to “On”: BoosterX will apply the block on access to call history. Click “Apply”. If “Instant apply” is enabled, a separate button is not required. To revert, set the toggle to “Off” and apply the change again: BoosterX will return Windows to its default state with access to call history allowed.
