For the first setup, the quick “Optimal” method in safe mode is enough. This is the basic and safest option among BoosterX quick methods: it is designed to preserve the familiar Windows features. There is no need to select settings one by one.

If you have not installed the program yet, start with the article “Getting started”.

Check system protection: press Win + R, type sysdm.cpl and open the “System Protection” tab — protection must be enabled for the system drive. When changes are applied for the first time, BoosterX creates its own recovery profile; a Windows restore point is created when system protection is enabled. What is restored automatically and what cannot be undone is covered in the article “Recovery boundaries”.

  1. Open “Optimization” in the BoosterX main menu.
  2. At the top left, make sure “Safe mode” is selected.
  3. At the bottom, in the “Quick methods” block, click “Optimal”.
  4. Apply the selected settings, wait for completion and restart the computer.

This is enough for the basic first optimization. There is no need to move on to stricter methods or additionally change individual settings at this stage.

If you have PRO: quick methods take PRO into account. With an active PRO, selecting “Optimal” applies more safe settings. Without PRO, this method is also suitable for the first setup.

Use the computer as usual: open the programs or game you need, check the network and sound. The basic setup is complete.

If you need to revert the changes, use the recovery profile created before optimization. For more details on what can be undone, read the article “Recovery boundaries”.
