Import backup profile

What import does
Section titled “What import does”Import adds an external backup profile to BoosterX: one received in a file or transferred from another key. The profile appears in the restore history as a local snapshot, but it changes nothing in the system until it is explicitly applied.
Two ways
Section titled “Two ways”- “Import file” — select a profile file in the dialog. The button is at the top of the BoosterX section of the “Restore” page.
- “Import from key” — the “Import profiles from another key” page: enter the key, click “Check”, and the profiles found will appear in the “Found profiles” list. If there are no profiles, BoosterX states plainly “No profiles found for this key”.
Import and verification scenario
Section titled “Import and verification scenario”- Open “Restore” → the BoosterX tab and choose the import method.
- After importing, find the profile in the “Local” section and click “Open”.
- Review the preview: the “Setting” and “Now” columns, the warning about unavailable settings.
- Make sure the profile’s contents are suitable: the Windows and BoosterX version it was created on, and the match of hardware and components.
- Only after verification, apply the changes and check the result manually.
Do not import unknown profiles just for a ready-made gaming preset: the snapshot may contain settings designed for another computer or scenario.
Rollback
Section titled “Rollback”Before importing, create a local snapshot of the current state. If the result is unsuitable, return to the profile created before the import and verify the restore step by step. It is more convenient to keep your own profiles in the cloud — then the transfer does not depend on files.
