Applies only to legacy Windows 10 builds: on most systems the setting will not be visible.

This is not network optimization: the setting does not improve ping or connection security.

Wi-Fi Sense is a feature of old Windows 10 builds that allowed sharing Wi-Fi network passwords with contacts and automatically connecting to suggested open networks. The BoosterX setting disables these scenarios on systems where the feature still exists: suggestions of open networks and network sharing with contacts stop.

The feature added convenience but created privacy risks — both for the network owner and for their contacts, so disabling it was justified even before its removal.

The main limitation is applicability. Microsoft disabled open network suggestions in 2016–2017 and then completely removed Wi-Fi Sense from current Windows 10; Windows 11 does not have the feature. BoosterX shows the setting only on legacy builds, and on a current system the card will be hidden. Do not try to restore the legacy feature manually — it is not a working optimization for modern Windows.

Open “Settings” → “Network & Internet” → “Wi-Fi”: on current Windows 10 the Wi-Fi Sense items are no longer there, and the BoosterX setting remains hidden.

If the setting is visible on your old build, open Optimization → Customization → Windows Features → Wi-Fi Sense and switch the toggle to “On”: BoosterX will apply the disabling of Wi-Fi Sense. Click “Apply” at the bottom of the page; if “Instant apply” is enabled, a separate button is not required. To revert, switch the toggle to “Off”: BoosterX will return Windows to its default state (Wi-Fi Sense enabled).
