What changes
Section titled “What changes”In the BoosterX cascading menu on the desktop, a quick selection of an available Windows power plan appears. Selecting an entry immediately makes that plan active: switching from “Balanced” to “High performance” takes two clicks, without opening Control Panel. The menu item is only a switch: it does not create new plans and does not edit the parameters of existing ones.
Exceptions and differences
Section titled “Exceptions and differences”On a laptop, keep battery power in mind: a high-performance plan increases charge consumption and heat. The list is limited to the plans that actually exist in the system, including imported ones — the “Power options” section remains the place where new ones are created and configured.
How to verify the result
Section titled “How to verify the result”Right-click on the desktop, open the BoosterX menu and select another plan. Then check the active plan in the “Power options” window of Control Panel — it should match the one selected in the menu.
How to change and revert
Section titled “How to change and revert”In BoosterX, open “Optimization” → “Customization” → “Context menu” → “Power plan in the context menu” and enable the toggle. Click “Apply” at the bottom of the page; with “Instant apply” enabled, the change is applied immediately. To revert, disable the setting and click “Apply” — the item disappears from the menu, and the active plan is preserved.
