What changes

BoosterX enables a global block for Store/UWP apps — the same global toggle as on the Windows page “Settings” → “Privacy” → “App permissions” → “Account info”. Apps read exactly what the visible BoosterX description lists: the account profile name and photo. After the block, Store apps stop automatically showing your avatar and greeting by name — for example, in the account area or on the app’s profile page.

Exceptions and differences

Classic Win32 programs get the user name directly and are not subject to the block; signing in to the account is not affected. A per-app block remains on the same system page. BoosterX supports the setting on Windows 10 and Windows 11; the name of the “Settings” section and the set of permission pages depend on the version — check them on your system.

How to verify the result

Open a Store app that shows your profile, for example the account page in Microsoft Store: the name and avatar should be visible. Apply the block, restart the app and compare.

How to change and revert

Open “Optimization” → “Privacy” → “App permissions” → “App access to account info”, set the toggle to “On”: BoosterX will apply the block — Store apps will stop seeing the account profile name and photo. Click “Apply”. If “Instant apply” is enabled, a separate button is not required. To revert, set the toggle to “Off” and apply the change again: BoosterX will return Windows to its default state with access to account info allowed.
