For a stable gaming PC

Can be disabled if Windows automatic diagnostic tools are not needed and the network and devices are already working stably.

The name is historical: in the current version, the setting disables the Diagnostic Policy Service, not device drivers.

What changes

Windows stops automatically detecting and resolving some component problems, including certain network issues. Drivers and event logs continue to work. Troubleshooting tools are only partially disabled.

How to verify

After rebooting, check the network, sound and devices. If a problem occurs, revert the setting before running the built-in Windows diagnostic tool.

How to change and revert

Open “Optimization” → “Basic” → “Services and background processes” → “Diagnostic drivers” and set the toggle to “On”: BoosterX will disable the Diagnostic Policy Service. Apply the change and reboot the PC. To revert, set the toggle to “Off”: BoosterX will restore the built-in diagnostics, apply the change and reboot again.
