What is on the tab
Section titled “What is on the tab”The tab has two sections:
- “Scripts and settings” — ready-made actions to prevent Microsoft Teams from auto-installing, remove the OneDrive client and remove Microsoft Edge. When removing the OneDrive client, user files are not selected for deletion.
- “UWP apps” — detected Microsoft Store applications that can be selected for removal.
At the top you can select the filter “All”, “Scripts and settings” or “UWP apps”. The “Optimal” button selects a fixed set of preinstalled applications, for example “Mail and Calendar”, “Movies & TV”, “Weather” and Solitaire.
With PRO, the “Delete remaining files and registry keys” toggle is available. It adds cleanup of the leftovers of the selected UWP applications.
Recommendation
Section titled “Recommendation”Remove applications you do not use. Before removing OneDrive, check where the files of the desktop and the “Documents” folder are stored, and save the copies you need: they may disappear during removal as well.
Do not select codecs and system components whose purpose you do not know for removal. The operation of Microsoft Store applications may depend on them.
How to verify the result
Section titled “How to verify the result”Restart and check Microsoft Store, Xbox and Game Pass games, as well as access to your OneDrive files.
How to change and revert
Section titled “How to change and revert”The removal cannot be undone with a button: removed components are returned by reinstalling them (Store applications — from Microsoft Store, OneDrive and Edge — with the installer from the website). Preventing Teams auto-installation is disabled with the same toggle in the opposite direction.
