Error 0x80070005 in XBOX and updates

Symptom
Section titled “Symptom”Error code 0x80070005 appears in XBOX apps, Microsoft Store, Windows Update or when installing programs. The code itself means “Access denied”: a program or service cannot write a file where it is trying to.
Typical causes
Section titled “Typical causes”- NTFS permissions on the system temporary folder have been lost: updates, XBOX apps and installers cannot create temporary files. A typical scenario is aggressive “cleaners”, tweaks and manual experiments with permissions.
Fix in BoosterX
Section titled “Fix in BoosterX”Open BoosterX → “Fixes” (in the left menu) → in the search field enter “Error 0x80070005 in XBOX, Windows Update, etc.” → “Fix” → restart Windows. The fix restores permissions on the system temporary folder — it eliminates program and update installation errors.

If it did not help
