Diagnostic events

Recommendation
Leave as defaultLeave event logging enabled while you check system stability or collect data for EventX and support.
If you do not need diagnostic records, you can reduce them by disabling the setting. This does not guarantee a noticeable performance gain.
- Scope
- Power and sleep diagnostic logs
- FPS and memory

What changes
Section titled “What changes”The setting disables the power and sleep diagnostic logs that Windows keeps in Event Viewer: diagnostics of sleep and power-related subsystems. This is internal Windows diagnostics, not an error log: the setting does not affect regular system logs or application error records.
What is lost: when investigating crashes, hangs after waking up and power issues, you lose part of the data. The EventX add-on can collect and parse such logs.
Exceptions and differences
Section titled “Exceptions and differences”BoosterX recommends disabling it to reduce background logging (based on the app’s visible description). Before looking for the cause of a crash or a driver issue, restore the original state. A noticeable performance gain is not guaranteed: logging is infrequent.
How to verify the result
Section titled “How to verify the result”- Open Event Viewer (search in the Start menu) and make sure the power and sleep diagnostic logs were being written.
- Apply the disable and repeat the inspection: new records should not appear in these logs.
- Restore the setting and check that the records have resumed.
How to change and revert
Section titled “How to change and revert”In BoosterX, open “Optimization” → “Tweaks” → “Maintenance and diagnostics” → “Diagnostic events”, move the toggle to the desired state and click “Apply”. If “Instant apply” is enabled, a separate click is not required.
Confirmation
