If system notifications are the only thing reminding you about data protection, leave the tasks enabled.

What changes

The group disables background tasks that show Windows service reminders: about the end of support for the installed Windows version and offering to set up backup of account data. According to the visible BoosterX description, these are “notifications about Windows end of support, backups and so on”. After disabling, such reminders stop appearing. Other notifications — from apps, mail, updates and the system — are not affected: the setting does not turn off notifications entirely.

Exceptions and differences

  • General notification management is a separate topic: “Windows 11 notifications” and Windows settings.
  • The setting is available in both Windows 10 and Windows 11 — there are no version restrictions in BoosterX. The reminders themselves depend on the installed Windows version and the state of backup.

How to verify the result

Reminders about the end of support and about setting up backup no longer appear. Launch any app with notifications and make sure its notifications arrive as usual.

How to change and revert

Open “Optimization” → “Tasks” → “System maintenance” → “Notification tasks” and switch the toggle to “Enabled”: BoosterX will disable the system reminder tasks. Click “Apply” at the bottom of the page; if “Instant apply” is enabled, a separate button is not required. To revert, switch the toggle to “Disabled” and apply the change again: BoosterX will return Windows to its default state with the tasks enabled.
