Troubleshooting

Start with a single reproducible symptom. Record the Windows version, the modified setting and the moment the problem appeared. Do not change several parameters at once: otherwise it will be difficult to separate the cause from the result.

The program does not start

Verify that BoosterX was downloaded from the official website, and then run it again without applying settings in parallel. If the problem appeared after modifying Windows, first restore the last profile in the “Recovery” section.

A setting is not applied

Open the setting page and check its visible path in the “Optimization” menu. Review the warnings before applying, save a backup snapshot and apply only one set of changes. If the program requests a restart, complete it before evaluating the result. The detailed procedure is described in getting started.

Games and performance

Repeat the same scene, keep the resolution, driver and background programs identical, then compare the frame time and other pre-selected metrics. The average value of a single run does not confirm causality. For a working procedure, use the benchmarking methodology and the repeatability rules.

Drivers and hardware

Separate the issue of a specific device from the Windows setting. Record the device model and driver version, verify that the function works after reverting the setting and do not extrapolate the result of one system to all computers.

Recovery

First apply the saved BoosterX profile. If the problem is related to system files or an update, review the Windows recovery options and system protection. A Windows Restore point does not replace a copy of personal files.
